Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; Identity; Power Structures; Systems of Oppression
Avani is a second-year graduate student in the Industrial/Organizational Psychology Master's program. She comes to GMU with 8 years of work experience in federal consulting and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at both Deloitte and Capital One. Early in her career, she became interested in the intersections of identity, psychology, and oppression in the workplace. At GMU, she looks forward to exploring how to identity and dismantle systemic forms of oppression in the workplace and within other organizations.
