Person-situation interaction, situational strength, job performance, organizational citizenship behavior, counterproductive work behavior, employee well-being, job boredom, within-person research, disabilities in organization, and neurodiversity at work

JeongJin Kim is a Ph.D. alumnus in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at George Mason University. JeongJin received his B.A. in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and M.A. in Psychology with a concentration in I-O Psychology at Yonsei University.

JeongJin had a variety of professional experiences prior to joining Mason. He served in the Republic of Korea Army as a guard post reconnaissance intelligence operator in the demilitarized zone. After his time at Yonsei, he worked as a business analyst at a consulting firm located in Seoul, South Korea, and just before joining the I-O Ph.D. program at Mason, he worked as a manager overseeing COVID-19 testing kit production line workers at a manufacturer of in vitro diagnostic products.

JeongJin's research is centered around three main areas: (1) understanding person-situation interactions and their impact on employee performance and well-being, (2) examining within-person dynamics of personality, affect and attitudes, and job performance, and (3) exploring the work experiences of persons with disabilities (e.g., neurodivergent individuals), especially challenges experienced in the workplace.
